Black Forest Cake


  • All Purpose Flour – 250g
  • Cocoa Powder – 50g
  • Powdered Sugar – 200g
  • Milk – 120ml
  • Butter – 250g
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Vegetable Oil – 50ml
  • Baking Powder – 1 tsp
  • Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – 1/4 tsp
  • Eggs – 5
  • Cherries – 250g
  • Big Black Chocolate bar – 1

How to Prepare

Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes

  1. Take a cake plate, grise it with butter and keep aside
  2. Now take cooker, add 500g sand and place metal vessel stand at the center and place a cooker plate/any plate over it
  3. Close the cooker lid and heat it for 20 minutes
  4. In the mean time, take a bowl, add powdered sugar and butter, use stand mixer and mix well for 10 minutes in low to medium speed
  5. After that add milk and mix it well for 10 minutes
  6. Then add eggs one by one till it become smooth white paste, this will take 30 minutes
  7. Take a bowl and add all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and mix them well and sift them twice to avoid lumps while making cake
  8. Finally add milk, vanilla essance, vegetable oil and mix it well for 5 minutes till it combined well
  9. Take the grised cake plate, cover the bottom with a cake paper then fill 3/4 of the plate with cake batter and tap them to settle thoroughly
  10. Now open the cooker lid and place the cake plate over the cooker plate, close the lid
  11. And allow them for 50-60 minutes in medium flame, if you use oven, bake the cake for 45 minutes in 350 Fahrenheit
  12. After that open the lid and check the cake with toothpick or a thin rode, if cake is sticky and close the bake for another 5 minutes
  13. Turn off the flame, open lid and transfer the cake on the wide plate and make it cool
  14. Take a pan, wash the 200g cherries and add some water, some sugar and boil it well for 5 minutes in medium flame till it become think red consistency, turn off the flame and make it cool completely and keep aside
  15. And for frosting, take a bowl, add 250g butter, 250g fresh cheese, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 500g powdered sugar, 75ml milk and beat them well for 10 minutes by stand mixer till it reaches thick smooth soft peak and keep aside
  16. Layering place an important role in black forest cake, so cut the cake horizontally into 4 halves and remove the top portion for neat decoration
  17. Place the first horizontal layer into a cake plate, brush the cake with cherry syrup thrice and apply the cream over it them garnish it with some boiled cherries then place another layer over it and do the same, finally place the last piece at the top.
  18. Use a plate knife, and apply the frosting at all over the cake after that grate the black chocolate over the cake thoroughly
  19. And finally take pastry bag with large star at the tip draw star, fill the cream and apply star frost decor all over the top edge of the cake and place the fresh stem cherries all over star decor.
  20. Freeze the cake and chill before serve
  21. Now, the Beautiful Black forest cake is ready to serve
